Datarhyme (PA Hire in London) will rejoin the Sound Production team for the sequel to ‘Love Sax and all that Jazz’, Da Mans Dem in Feb 2012.
Love Sax and all that Jazz Chapter 2 (Da Mans Dem) is the sequel to the hit comedy play Love Sax and all that Jazz. Written by Alan Charles, Da Mans Dem takes an informative and humorous look at men and relationships exploring those age old questions what do men want? Why do men cheat? And what defines a man? In chapter one the girls were explosive in chapter 2 Da Mans Dem will get their say. Get ready for another explosion of humour in this production that will inform, uplift and edutain the whole family.

Datarhyme has finally retired their trusty Mackie C300′s after many years of use. They will be truly missed.
The C300s were officially replaced back in 2009 but they were keep on for stage monitor use and low cost PA hire. However, the decision was made to fully retire them as we’re planning to upgrade our PA stock for 2012.
Datarhyme introduces Event Solutions, a new service where we provide all the sound related elements tailored for events. This is aimed at Corporate, Parties, Weddings and Seminars events.
Events Solutions manages all the sound requirements, we’ll provide one of our PA systems, together with any other sound related items – Lecterns, Table Mics, Projectors, Intelligent Lighting, Staging, etc…
Datarhyme has introduced the DBX DriveRack PX as default for all PA hire systems.
“The DriveRack PX Powered Speaker Optimizer is designed to you need to get the most out of your stereo powered speaker system. With the included dbx M2 measurement mic, Auto-EQ corrects for audible deficiencies in the room environment. The patented Advanced Feedback Suppression (AFS) kills feedback, while the patented Subharmonic Synthesizer extends bass response. You also get classic dbx compression and the protection from PeakPlus limiting”
Datarhyme will use the DriveRack PX to remove acoustic deficiencies at venues and to protect against clients over-driving their PA systems. The DriveRack PX was chosen as Datarhyme mainly use 2-way powered speakers. Also, Datarhyme felt that the DriveRack PA+ didn’t have enough features to justify the price.
Finally got to try out new compact digital mixers at PLASA 2010 today. This being the Roland M300 and the Soundcraft Si Compact. These together with the Yamaha LS9, Roland M380 and the Allen Heath iLive R72 bring digital technology to the masses at affordable prices in a compact rack mountable format.
As an Yamaha LS9 user, I’ve been impressed by these new devices. I definitely will be looking for a opportunity to use any of them so I can decide whether it’s time to move away from the LS9.
Datarhyme provided the same PA system for the the 2nd Ladywell Fields Summer Festival as in 2009. Once again a small (2.6K watts) system was provided. This comprised of the 2x JBL PRX512M with 2x RCF ART705-AS Subs and Mackie C300 monitors. This time the bigger Yamaha LS9-32 digital console was used instead of the LS9-16.
